End to End

To cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats - the length of mainland Britain - is an ambition which many cyclists aspire to and fulfil each year. Whether your journey is for charity or personal achievement, CTC's LEJOG pack will help you achieve your ambition.

The pack contains  three detailed routes for this classic ride.

  • One is based on using YHAs for accommodation and gets you there in two weeks. using B and minor roads where practicable.
  • The second uses B&Bs, and a list of recommended establishments on the route forms part of the pack. Again B and minor roads are used where practicable.
  • The third route uses mainly A roads and provides a faster and less hilly route for those less interested in the scenic delights of the challenge and who would rather just get to the other end as quickly as possible. Not all A roads are unpleasant - some will be, but many can provide a perfectly acceptable alternative to our other two routes which do go out of their way sometimes in search of the most scenic option.

The End to End Pack also contains a general information section, which includes guidance on which maps to use to complement the route sheets, advice on training, food and fitness and, most importantly, how to get yourself and bike to/from the start and finish points by train.

In addition we supply you with a Record Sheet to record your progress. This enables you to record your overnight accommodation stamps (or similar) which can be submitted to CTC in order for you to qualify for an End to End T-shirt, certificate and badge to commemorate your achievement.
