2 courses - First Aid and National Standards Instructor

We need more cycling instructors!
We need more instructors! And we want people to be as confident as possible taking others cycling, so here are two FREE course that are coming up: First Aid in the Outdoors (2-day); and National Standards Instructor Training

Both courses are offered free to those who live in the LSTF (Local Sustainable Transport Fund) area of Leicester*.  Priority is also given to people outside the area who are happy to help us offer cycling projects, including cycle training, in the area.

We have a date for the First Aid in the Outdoors course:  16 and 17 November (venue to be decided).

We are assessing interest before we schedule a National Standards Instructor Course.  This is a 4-day course, which requires subsequent volunteer practice time, including in schools, and further assessment within six months.  This course enables you to teach Bikeability in schools, or to teach adults how to ride, moving up to how to ride on the road.

Please contact Elizabeth Barner (elizabeth.barner@ctc.org.uk) if you are interested in either course -  we cannot guarantee places and will need to agree volunteer time after the course.
