New law for better cycle paths in Wales

The Welsh Government has proposed a new law placing a duty on local authorities to map the walking and cycling routes in their area and make a plan and budget to improve them. Wales is being touted as the first country for such law to be introduced.

A hit-and-run drink-driver who ended a medal-winning disabled cyclist’s Paralympic dream has received an 18-month prison sentence. Simon Richardson, already disabled after a cycling collision with a car, had won medals in Beijing and was training for the London Paralympics when the crash happened.

Bike Club to launch in Wales
CTC - Working for Cycling
Bike Club is a project that engages with young people aged 10-20 by inspiring them to become participants and leaders of creative, fun and inclusive activities. A series of Bike Clubs will begin in Cardiff and surrounding areas that will help children and young people to learn new life skills.
