CTC has representatives locally and nationally
There are more than 200 CTC Member Groups across the UK. They organise rides to suit all capabilities and provide the opportunity to cycle with others. They are all run by volunteers who give their time to share their love of cycling and their knowledge of their local area.
CTC Local Groups
Most Member Groups have weekly rides and many also run events throughout the year.
As a CTC member, you can ride with any CTC group. Contact the Secretary to find out more about the kind of rides they do and whether or not they are suitable for you.
Alternatively, contact the Member Group Coordinator Julie Rand.
We also have large number of affiliated clubs and groups who join CTC not only to support our campaigning and development work, but also for the insurance and other benefits of CTC membership, such as a number of resources to help with the running of rides and events.
CTC has a commitment to work through a regional structure to reach as many local communities as possible.
CTC Scotland has been a success since 1996 with fundraising, membership growth and development of local influence and similar success has followed with CTC Cymru in 1999 and CTC London in 2001.
Member Groups are run by groups of local volunteers and provide activities and events for cyclists of all kinds throughout the UK. The Group Events Forum (prevoiusly the Member Group Steering Group) was formed in 2010 to provide a platform to discuss issues affecting CTC groups and national events.
