CTC, the national cycling charity, has been overwhelmed by the public response to its appeal for children’s bikes following the theft of 12 cycles used for popular after-school sessions in Reading.

CTC is appealing for people to donate children’s bikes after heartless thieves stole 12 cycles used for popular after-school sessions in Reading. The bikes were taken during a break-in at Palmer Park Sports Stadium during the early hours of Tuesday 15 December.

CTC: Get tough on dodgy drivers and lorry operators
CTC has urged MPs to support increased resources for roads policing to improve safety for all road users. CTC’s Policy Director Roger Geffen told the Commons Transport Select Committee that cycle use has grown slowly but steadily since the late 1990s, but the risk per mile of a serious cycling injury started to increase from 2008.
