General election 2024

Cycling UK staff and politicians at the IPPR report launch discussing the outcome of the report in a boardroom
It’s widely expected that the next general election will take place this year. To make cycling a safe and obvious choice for all, it needs political support. At Cycling UK we are championing this cause, and will continue to do so in the lead up to the election

At Cycling UK we’ve been actively engaging with politicians to advocate for cycling to be a central priority across all political parties in the run-up to the general election.

With a continued commitment to promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transportation, we’re emphasising the importance of investing in cycling infrastructure, promoting road safety measures and fostering a culture that encourages more people to choose cycling for their daily commutes and recreational activities.

By championing this cause, we aim to ensure that cycling remains firmly on the political agenda, addressing key issues and advocating for policies that support the growth and accessibility of cycling nationwide.
