Cycle instructor wins Local Cycling Hero award

Maryam enjoys passing on her expertise
One of our most dedicated cycle instructors, Maryam Amatullah, has won the Midlands region Local Cycling Hero award this week.

Originally trained by CTC, Maryam is definitely one of the most popular cycling instructors in the city! Everyone who has been taught by Maryam describes her support and dedication, her quiet determination that they too can cycle if they want to.

 For some trainees, her support in Hindi as well as English is especially welcome.  We appreciate that our award winner will start two more 6-week sessions for adults next week.  

Maryam always says that she is happiest when people feel they can do more than they could before, and the photo she took of 'her' trainees out on a ride a few weeks into classes is additional reward.
